Look at Their Family Ministry Legacy
I got to meet Jerry Jackson years ago now. His silver hair and firm gaze reflect a no-nonsense man on a mission. In fact, his was an unrelenting passion for one thing: getting the gospel out to those who have not heard.
Jerry’s son, Morgan, tells the story of how his dad started out as a business guy. After coming to faith at the age of 23, Jerry determined to live out a life of faith. He and his wife converted an old school bus to a traveling home, packed up their four kids, and traveled the country to wherever God would take them. It was a life of faith, a life of living on the edge, and for those looking on from the outside, a life that didn’t make sense.
By 1972, that traveling ministry found a home in Albuquerque, New Mexico, with a simple goal of bringing God’s church together and making disciples. The Jacksons’ particular focus was bringing the Bible in audio form to those around the world who cannot read.
Today, Jerry Jackson’s simple steps of faith have led to a global ministry called Faith Comes by Hearing. Over the last 50 years, they’ve completed more than 1500 Bible recordings in languages spoken by more than 6 billion people.
Jerry’s son, Morgan, continues the legacy of faith by serving as a key leader within the ministry.
Family. Legacy. Faith.
