As CEO of The Signatry, one the phrases we tend to say is “Your signature is your legacy. You sign your name to the causes you believe in.” This list is a good reminder to consider your legacy. How does your giving and the choices you make around it uphold your values? God cares about the small details to the broadest scope.

Two other trends of note:

-Giving to impact investing nonprofits rose to $19.1 million.
Impact investing reflects the idea that a nonprofit can provide social  good while generating financial returns as well.

-Giving of closely held stock and other complex assets continued to rise to a total of $796 million.

These are reminders to consider all the opportunities God has provided for stewardship. More giving solutions are possible with complex assets, and we are moving further away from the traditional giving approaches. If you need help forming a plan, don’t be afraid to dig in, research, and ask questions.
